About the conference
Humanizing Today’s Healthcare In Guidance And Counselling Children
The Association of Child and Learning Psychologists holds a national conference every year, and its Annual General Meeting is held during the conference. It is the academic forum at which professionals in Educational Psychology and allied areas discuss issues relating to the Nigerian child and the teaching-learning process — from the first conference at Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, in October 2000 to the silver jubilee at Bingham University, Karu, in October 2025.
Papers presented at the conference must address its theme, and go forward for publication in the Association’s journal, The Nigerian Educational Psychologists, and the conference book of readings.

Each conference’s Local Organising Committee publishes its detailed timetable; the steps below are the same every year.

Step 1 · Before the conference
Register and pay
- — Create an account and choose Physical, Virtual or Student
- — Optionally add a pre-conference workshop
- — Generate your invoice and pay by bank transfer

Step 2 · Your paper
Prepare a paper on the conference theme
- — Papers must address the theme of the conference
- — In person: bring 10 hard copies of your paper to the venue
- — Online: send an electronic copy to the LOC through the designated email

Step 3 · At the conference
Sessions and the Annual General Meeting
- — Paper presentations under the conference theme
- — The Association’s Annual General Meeting

Step 4 · After the conference
Publication
- — Submit papers to the address given by the Editor-in-Chief within two weeks of the conference
- — Papers go forward for the journal and the conference book of readings

Conference fees
One category per delegate. Register, generate your invoice and pay by bank transfer.

Papers & abstracts
Papers must address the conference theme, otherwise they will not be considered for publication. In-person participants bring 10 hard copies of their papers to the venue; online presenters submit an electronic copy to the Local Organizing Committee (LOC) through a designated email.
